Inserting Inline Images, Downloadable Assets, and Videos, Uploading Assets and Images (CK Editor/Media)

If your site utilizes the “Media” module for videos and assets, the file selector and media file manager is different from that previously identified.  In this case, using the one insert toolbar icon can be used for all three purposes:

  • Insert/embed an inline image
  • Insert a link to a downloadable asset (pdf)
  • Insert/embed a video from an approved web service/video provider

To insert an inline image, downloadable asset, or embed a video:

  1. Place the cursor where you want to insert the image.
  2. Click the "Media/Image" button in the editor (it looks like a stack of two photos, see below)
  3. In the popup window (shown below),

there are three tabs displayed across the top:
    1. Upload- use this tab to upload a new image/asset
    2. Web- use this tab to embed any YouTube videos
    3. Library- use this tab to pick from any previously uploaded assets or embedded web videos
  4. After setting your asset via one of the three options above, click Submit to save and complete insertion.
